MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR

Dear Community,

I am writing to inform you that our Operations Manager - Morayo Omogbenigun is leaving BLF.  We are grateful for her contributions over the past 2yrs and wish her every success in her next chapter.

After a rigorous recruitment process and to support BLF through this transition period, we have appointed Hannah John as an Interim Project Management Consultant. Hannah is a strategic project manager with experience working with organisations similar to BLF. Hannah will work over the next 3 months (2 days per week) to deliver key priorities outlined in her brief.

Bolanle Tajudeen continues as our Public Arts & Curative Consultant managing delivery of our existing memorial projects.

During this period, trustees will also work alongside Hannah and Bolanle to ensure operational & project continuity. All working groups are suspended until we have agreed a new organisational structure that aligns with BLF’s size and strategic priorities, this includes the Partnership Group.

Our priorities at this point remain

  • Advancing and promoting  key projects TWR Documentary, Promenade Launch and work on Memorialisation

  • Exploring the concept of Legacy with the BLF community

  • Reviewing and revising the BLF organisation structure

The Trustees and I would like to thank you for your continued support and patience as we implement these changes, and position BLF for its next phase of development and delivery. We look forward to inviting you to opportunities to support, and share this journey.

Kind regards

Asher Craig
